Christian Louboutin is a revolutionary French shoe designer. Born in 1976, Christian Louboutin became infatuated with women's fashion when he was just a kid. At the age of three, he noticed that tourists to the Museum of Oceanic Art were forbidden from wearing stiletto heels and scratching the building's wooden floor. As a form of artistic protest, Louboutin began filling his drawing notebooks with pictures of women's shoes with buckles and soles.As a young adult, Louboutin began attending soirees in Paris in an attempt to persuade young woman there to purchase his shoes. Of course, unsurprisingly, Louboutin was rejected most of the time. He then enrolled in a series of French design schools. After he finished his education, Louboutin opened a boutique shop in the heart of Paris's fashion district.Christian Louboutin distinguished himself from more staid designers by offering coffee to his patrons, befriending powerful people like the Princess of Monaco, and generally flouting tradition. However, Christian Louboutin truly stands out for his shoe lines. All of his shoes, most of which are women's high heels and stilettos, are framed by red soles. He dreams up shoe designs, writes those designs in a notebook, and then actually creates the shoes.All told, Christian Louboutin has multiple lines, including Oriental, Louis XV, and Periwinkle. In 2005, he released over 120 different new models. As much as Christian Louboutin wants to be seen as a maverick, he also wants to create luxury items. His eccentric yet ultimately stylized designs continue to fascinate and attract fashionistas throughout the world.
